Baccarat is more than a game of luck. It requires a solid grasp of the basics, emotional discipline, and a sound betting strategy. That's why baccarat remains the top choice among seasoned casino players worldwide — and why so many Malaysian players have made it their favourite game at pavillion88.

Never played baccarat before? No worries — it's one of the easiest casino games to pick up. Here's a quick breakdown of how baccarat works:
In each round of baccarat, two hands are dealt — one for Banker and one for Player. Your only task is to predict which hand will come closer to 9, or whether it will end in a Tie.
There are three main bet types in baccarat, each with different payouts and odds. Here's the full breakdown:
| Bet Type | Payments | RTP | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banker | 1:1 (minus 5% commission) | 98.94% | The bet with the highest winning odds — the go-to choice for experienced players |
| Player | 1:1 | 98.76% | Full payout with no commission, slightly lower winning odds than Banker |
| Tie | 8:1 | 85.64% | Big payout but it only happens around 9.5% of the time — high risk |
| Banker Pair | 11:1 | 89.64% | Predict that the Banker's first two cards are a pair — side bet available at selected tables |
| Player Pair | 11:1 | 89.64% | Predict that the Player's first two cards are a pair — side bet available at selected tables |
Pavillion88 offers a wide range of baccarat variants to suit different playing styles — from players who prefer a fast-paced game to VIP players looking for an exclusive experience:
A special variant from Evolution Gaming — every round features a random "Lightning Card" that can multiply your payout by up to 8x. An ordinary round becomes extraordinary every time the lightning strikes.
Each round takes just 27 seconds — perfect for players who prefer a fast pace and don't like to wait. The game speed is twice that of a standard table.
The dealer slowly reveals each card to build suspense, just like the iconic "squeeze" ritual at Macau casinos. The most authentic baccarat experience you can get.
Exclusive tables with high betting limits, a more lavish studio setting, and dedicated service for premium players. Table limits start from RM200 up to RM200,000 per session.
Baccarat is ultimately a game of chance, but many experienced players at pavillion88 use bankroll management strategies that can help extend your session and reduce the risk of heavy losses. Here are some popular approaches:
